How to Enjoy a Rangers Game
(2007/08 Season)
Tips to optimize your experience
Upon visiting Lakeview Arena, you will quickly
notice a change in the atmosphere of the building. More color, more activity,
but still great hockey. So that everyone can enjoy the Rangers game, we
have prepared this short summary to help you navigate your way around
Lakeview Arena and make sure you do not miss any of the excitement.
Parking, Entry and Seating:
Entry into Lakeview Arena is limited to the West (YMCA), North and South
(Fair Avenue) entrances. There is no fee to park. Sections One, Three
and Five are the only Reserved seats in the arena. All other seating areas
are General Admission. To sit in Section One however (the only alcohol-served
section), you must be 21 years of age and wear a wrist bracelet obtained
at the Rangers Courtesy Table located near our office in Lakeview Arena.
Wrist Bands cost $1.
Larger Groups
For large groups, we offer the Spotlight Lounge. This area is located
in the southwest corner of the arena and offers a great view of the game.
The Spotlight Lounge has its own bar and catered food, and can be reserved
by any group with 30 or more purchased tickets. Please contact Mark Evans
in the Rangers office (225-9077) for more information on how your group
can get VIP treatment.
Concessions:
The City of Marquette operates two concession stands, one on the west-end
of the arena, and the central concession stand located between the Russell
and Olson ice sheets.
Beer Gardens:
Two Beer Gardens are available for fans 21 years of age and older who
wear the appropriate Wrist Band. NO ONE WITHOUT A WRIST BAND IS PERMITTED
INTO THE BEER GARDENS OR SECTION ONE. We serve keg beer, canned beer,
wine, mixed drinks, non-alcoholic beverages and pop. All beverages served
in the Beer Gardens must be consumed in the Beer Gardens except for fans
who hold Reserved seats in Section One. Fans in Section One can sit in
their seats and enjoy the beverage of their choice. We provide pre-paid
drink cards so you can get your favorite beverage fast, with just a punch
of the card; and you can purchase a Rangers mug and get 50 cents off of
every keg beer purchased throughout the season.
For those of you who like to get to the game early, join
us for Power Hour in each of the Beer Gardens one hour before drop of
the puck.
Rangers Gear:
All official team gear is available at our Tool Shed sales table located
near the central concession stand in the southeast corner of the arena,
as well as in the arena Pro Shop (operated by Johnson's Sport Shop) and
the Johnson's Sport Shop on Third Street in Marquette. You can also obtain
your favorite gear on our team website at www.shop.marquetterangers.com.
